How Conversion Tracking Works
After you start a test and specify a conversion goal (the Page URL or event), the Keak tracking pixel on your site takes over. The pixel code listens for user actions and page loads, and when it detects a user hitting the specified conversion page (or triggering the specified event), it sends that data back to Keak’s servers
Keak increments the conversion count for the variation that user was exposed to.
All of this happens automatically. You’ll see the results in the Keak dashboard in real time: the number of visitors shown each version and how many converted for each. The dashboard will also show the conversion rate (%) for each variation and the statistical confidence that one is better than the other.
By default, defining the conversion goal via the Page URL is sufficient for most cases (page visits are a common success metric). However, you might have other types of actions you care about, such as clicking a specific button (e.g., an “Add to Cart” button) or filling out a form that doesn’t lead to a new page. In such cases, you can use custom event tracking to set up custom conversion events.
